The beauty of simplicity has a timeless quality. I began to play on the idea of welcoming negative space and striping away from overwhelming clutter. It’s certainly true to say that “less is more”. Clean lines, mild colors, incomplex tablescapes, and effortless subjects were my main focus for this romantic minimalist shoot with a modern feel. The calligraphy had modern texts with simplicity to the color scheme. And instead of a table runner or major centerpieces, romantic candles were lit across the entire table with fresh cala lilies and tulips for a fresh look. The Maria Lucia Hohan gown was breathtakingly clean with lovely geometric lines on the back to highlight modernism. Paired with Gianvito Rossi shoes, staking rings, and a brass hair cuff to tie it all together, our modern bride would have an elegant minimal look. Minimizing colors can be a risky step, but once a unity in colors is made, a minimalism approach to a wedding day will be a constant style.
